About The Conference

This year's National Undergraduate Bioethics Conference will be held at the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Washington on March 26-27, 2010. Hosted last year by Harvard, the NUBC is the seminal conference organized by and for the next generation of bioethicists, philosophers, theologians, scientists, doctors, and policy-makers.

We are thrilled that the American Society for Bioethics and Humanities (ASBH) selected the University of Puget Sound to host the NUBC. We think the natural, academic and political diversity and richness of the Pacific Northwest will provide a vibrant setting for this year's conference.

In response to the increasingly desperate state of health care in America, we are placing a special emphasis on discussing health care reform at this year's conference. The theme, Bioethics in Obama's America, reflects the change we've seen and the progress we hope the conference will inspire.
